May 24, 2008 - Waiting for Ajay

We have been waiting for this day to come for many years. We received a phone call on Thursday letting us know that we are able to travel to get our new son, Ajay in India. We will finally get to meet our handsome baby boy. We have prayed for him for so long and our prayers are finally coming true on June 9th we will hold him in our arms. Everyone is so excited to meet him. We will begin our India journey on June 3rd. We will be leaving from Philadelphia.

Our son Dhruv has started a countdown and it is 10 days from today! We went shopping today for luggage and toys. Yesterday we went shopping for new clothes. It was very important that Dhruv bought matching outfits for both of them. He picked out 2 brightly colored t-shirts for them to wear together in India. They are yellow and orange. Dhruv proudly marched them up to the register and told them that they were for his baby brother in India and him to wear when they meet in India for adoption. He is so excited to meet his new baby brother. He has so many things he wants to teach his new brother. Tomorrow we will be doing some more shopping. Tonight we hope to catch up on some sleep. It was a busy night last night. We were up late making flight reservations and trying to make hotel reservations.

YAY, another blog to read. I think you'll find that updating family and friends is much easier you don't have to tell everyone the same thing over and over. I love your blog. Your family is just beautiful including your newest member Ajay. Anant kept looking at Ajay's picture. He noticed his teeth...so cute. Also that he's sitting on a chair and has a logo on his shirt. LOL. Can't wait to meet all of you.

Hi Maureen,

How exciting to see another family ready to travel to India. Our daughter Riya (from BSSK) was born March 25, 2005 - almost exactly 2 years older than Ajay.

Now that I've read your site, I am even more excited! What a great way to keep in touch! The pictures and stories are terrific. Ajay is adorable and I can't wait to see him. Thanks for the site! Love, Mom

P.S. I loved the story about Dhruv picking out the outfits.
